June 14th is around the corner — don’t miss this chance to share your bright idea!
The Taproot Foundation is a nonprofit organization that engages business professionals in pro bono service that drives social change. We’re inviting students in 20 schools across the country to enter our first ever innovation challenge—Taproot’s MAKE IT MATTER CHALLENGE. We know the pro bono movement won’t get very far without you, the next generation.
We are looking for your strategic ideas to advance the pro bono movement in a very large-scale way. Enter the Challenge by answering this question:
WHAT WOULD HELP MORE* NONPROFIT EMPLOYEES TAKE ADVANTAGE OF QUALITY PRO BONO RESOURCES? * tens of thousands more!
Two winning entries (teams or individuals) will receive:
- A CHANCE TO PITCH YOUR IDEA to Reid Hoffman, LinkedIn’s Executive Chairman and co-Founder, and other esteemed leaders. Think big!
- $10,000 CASH. That’s right, $10K in cash for the winning idea. Time to innovate!
- $5,000 FOR THE NONPROFIT OF YOUR CHOICE. We’ll donate an additional $5K in your team’s name directly to your favorite nonprofit. Pay it forward!
This Challenge is generously support by LinkedIn and LinkedIn’s Executive Chairman and co-Founder, Reid Hoffman.
Most nonprofit organizations tackling big social problems don’t have access to all the talent and skills they need to achieve their missions. Pro bono is society’s secret weapon, bringing capacity building resources (marketing, IT, finance, HR, strategy and more) to organizations when and where they need them most.
But not enough nonprofit employees know how to take advantage of this talent—or even that the possibility exists! Only 3% of nonprofits say they have access to the pro bono service they need. How can we help way more nonprofits easily access these capacity building resources? We’ve designed this challenge to turn the tide and tap into the creative minds of Taproot’s network to come up with some solutions.
